Don’t have a good live poker face? No worries! In online poker, even though you can’t see your opponents, it doesn’t mean it’s impossible to get reads on the strength of an opponent’s hand. If you’re very observant of the players at your table, you can pickup a ton of information about their tendencies such as calling too much, so you can figure out how to play against them. However, due to the nature of online poker, you can play many tables simultaneously, so you may find it difficult being attentive when playing so many tables at the same time. This means serious online poker players require new weapons in their arsenal if they want to remain profitable after migrating from live to online poker games.
Good news is that online players can choose from tons of poker software and tools to help them improve their game and develop better reads on other players at the table. The following list is by no means exhaustive, but it includes some of the best third party poker software and websites out there. Although there are free trial versions and freeware versions for some of the products, some are paid software. I’m sure you know the saying “there is no such thing as a free lunch?” Well, when it comes to online poker software tools, even though you may have to hand over a few dollars to acquire the program, it’s well worth it, given that when used as intended, it will help your game and results immensely.
So without any further adieu, here’s the list…
