Sorel Mizzi is a Canadian professional poker player. He was born April 16th, 1986 in Toronto, Ontario. Sorel Mizzi is a Titan Poker pro, with over $5,000,000 in poker winnings. Mizzi plays online under the names of “Imper1um” and “Zangbezan24”.

Sorel Mizzi has not won a WSOP bracelet yet, but he has done well for himself. He has 140 Career cashes and shows no sign of slowing down. His larges event cash was in January of 2010 when he took third place in the Aussie Millions Main Event for $638,004.

Sorel Mizzi has had three other cashes above $200k. In April 2007 he took third in event 1 of the Irish Poker Open, winning $280,284. In September of 2008 at the WSOP Europe, London he took second for $237,976. And in June of 2009 he placed second in event 35 of the WSOP for $253,048.

On April 15, 2010 Sorel Mizzi won the 2010 Borgata Spring Poker Open event 4 for a prize of $170,313. This is his largest cash from a first place win in a tournament to date. He has won several other tournaments including the Pokerstars Sunday warmup on October 24, 2010 for a $170,313 prize. Sorel Mizzi has many cashes in the Sunday warmup, and has won it more then once.

Sorel Mizzi had a scandal at Full Tilt Poker in December of 2007. He had taken over the account of a friend to finish a tournament. Sorel Mizzi went on to win, but was disqualified, and first prize went to the second place finisher. Sorel Mizzi apologized for his actions.

Sorel Mizzi became a Titan Poker sponsored player in March of 2010. He is considered the leader of team Titan Poker. He had a great year in 2010, and is starting out 2011 quite well. We will see more for Sorel Mizzi in the near future.
