UB Player Data Leaked

Online Poker Site Review » Online Poker » UB Player Data Leaked

In yet another blow to the devastated Cereus Poker Network, private players data has been leaked. An online site, recently shut down by its host, has had the private data online since November.

It is yet to be determined who owns the website, or how the data was acquired. What is know is the private data of about 3.5 million registered players at UB has been released on the internet. It has been widely reported that no private banking data was released.

The Data released:

• First name
• Last name
• Username
• Email address
• Phone number
• Street address
• Account balance (as of late 2010)
• IP addresses
• Deposit methods (but does not include actual bank account or ewallet info)
• Date of birth
• Ultimate Bet account number
• VIP status
• Affiliate information
• Blacklist status
• Some accounts had what appears to be encrypted passwords

A link to the site with the data was placed on two plus two poker forum, and removed by the author ten minutes later. The moderators at two plus two sprung into action to have the site shut down.

This security breach should be taken serious by any player with a UB account. If you have money on UB, you should immediately change your password. If you have used the same information at other poker sites, this should be changed immediately.
